Poolside Glamour: The Ultimate Beverly Hills Patio Edit

“When you think pink and green, you think Beverly Hills Hotel,” a nod to Palm Beach designer Amanda Lindroth who created the signature look. From its iconic banana-leaf wallpaper to the sun-splashed pool terrace, the Polo Lounge’s pastel palette and lush jungle prints have inspired backyard oases around the globe. Here’s your guide to bringing that legendary Garden of Eden vibe home.

Opened in 1912 as Hollywood’s secret hideaway—Chaplin, Monroe & Sinatra have all checked in.

Lush Lounge & Candlelight

The Beverly Hills Hotel’s famed poolside veranda is all about relaxed glamour: wicker seating grounded in sandy neutrals, vibrant accent pillows, and glowing candlelight. To capture that effortless chic, start with a neutral base: the Tofino Sofa – Light Dune and matching Tofino Swivel Chair. Layer in pattern—banana-leaf and butterfly prints nod to the Hotel’s famed wallcoverings—then illuminate the scene with Tofino Hurricane Candles. A sculptural Stone Hunting Dog statue and a maximalist coffee-table book add insider’s flair.

Signature Palette: Rose Madder Pink & Palm Green, refreshed yearly by Sherwin-Williams in custom mixes.

Poolside Pastels & Scallops

The scalloped-edge chaise lounge and side tables were introduced in the 1950s and remain a signature touch. A pink-and-green stripe slipcover from Business & Pleasure Co. brings the classic palette to life. A coordinating scalloped side table holds pink chevron pillows and a flute-style ice cream glass. Don’t forget the hanging green wicker lantern for evening ambiance.

Fabrics & Textiles: Outdoor performance velvets, Sunbrella® canvas & Italian jungle prints.

Garden-Chic Dining

Al fresco meals at the Hotel mix natural rattan, linen napkins, and fine porcelain. Emulate with a wicker East Hampton dining set topped with Garden Bouquet china. Pillows in palm-tree and diamond prints layer white cushions, while a faux lilac bundle and confetti tumblers finish the fête.

Fun Fact: The “Green Goddess” cocktail was invented here in the 1920s to celebrate the Hotel’s gardens.

Iconic Pink & Green Scallops

No Beverly Hills Hotel look is complete without scalloped seating. The loveseat and chaise—dipped in rose madder and palm green—were originally crafted in 1947 and remain in continuous production. Pair with a matching Al Fresco Bar Cart, heart-shaped coupe glasses, and playful accents like Loulou Baker Playing Cards for pure Palm Beach glamour in the California sun.

Fun Fact: The scalloped frames are still built by hand in SoCal workshops, one by one.

Bring the BHH Home

Embrace the Beverly Hills Hotel’s sunlit glamour by layering signature pink & green scallops, mixing natural wicker with painted metal, and styling with tropical prints and swanky glassware. Frame your seating toward palms or pool reflections, and let candlelight and lanterns weave their magic at dusk.
